You Have Survived your Survival Challenge
‘’The more you celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate’’
Oprah Winfrey

When we hear the word celebration the first thing that pops into our mind is fun and frolic, partying, festivity, a gala, a fete, or raising a glass for others’ achievements.
How often do we celebrate our wins no matter how small, our fears and joys, our perseverance and motivation, our learnings [Never Mistakes – it’s all a learning only] and finally US! December is just around the corner, and let’s make this a season of celebration, ‘’A Season To Celebrate Ourselves and Our Lives’’ You survived your survival challenge!
There is a great video by Lisa Nichols on how to celebrate yourself – you can watch the video here
TAKE TIME OUT FOR A LITTLE SELF-APPLAUSE. YOU DESERVE IT!
Below are a few of the many ways to celebrate yourself
- Being kind to myself- Making my wants and needs a priority and focus. This doesn’t not
make me selfish, however in fact the opposite. By putting myself at the top of my priority list,
I have invested some time to follow my passions, things that make me smile and follow my
purpose and vision. I feel content, fulfilled and balanced.I made time to do things for me.
- Being Supportive – From being a shoulder to cry on to being a part of a friend’s
celebration, from holidaying with a large noisy Indian family to being a mentor to someone, I
am always there. I value people in my life and respect them for who they are and not what
they have. I celebrate myself for being a dependable person.
- Being Grateful – I am thankful for everything in my life. I have gratitude for being loved,
enjoying joyous moments, cherishing my achievements, and also my learnings when life
gets tough. Acknowledging those who supported my journey, means a lot to me. Unleashing
my caring side. I write little gratitude notes to myself and put it in my gratitude jar.
- Letting Go & Flexibility- Understanding that I cannot control everything in my life is my
biggest celebration. Letting go of people, energies and situations that don’t support me, is my
big learning. I feel liberated and free. Life rarely unfolds as planned. Learning the power of
the breath, shifting my perspective and being flexible has helped me a long way. I am proud
of myself for having this understanding.
- Writing things I love about me – Writing down my strengths, capabilities, abilities,
interests, things I can do pretty well and also my drive to rarely give up, makes me realise I
have so much to offer. I may not have mastered anything, however, I can do a bit of
everything, which makes me feel accomplished.
The fact that you are reading this means you are ready to celebrate yourself, so what’s
holding you back.
● Is it fear, shyness, low self esteem and confidence?
● Or you don’t know where and how to start?
Great, then the curious explorer in me would love to have a chat where I can show you ways
to raise a glass of bubbly or a cuppa hot chocolate to salute your life.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
